KIU Distributes HEC Need-Based Scholarship Cheques to 177 Deserving Students

A cheque distribution ceremony for the HEC-KIU Need-Based Scholarship Programme was held at Karakoram International University main campus, where scholarship cheques were distributed among 177 deserving students from the academic sessions 2022–23 and 2024. Vice Chancellor KIU, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razaq, was the chief guest and distributed the scholarship cheques among the awardees. Addressing the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor said that such initiatives play an important role in empowering young people and contributing to the socio-economic development of Gilgit-Baltistan. He encouraged the scholarship recipients to excel in their studies and after graduation, contribute positively to society. He further stated that KIU remains committed to investing in education and empowering the future of its students through various scholarship and student-support programmes. Earlier, Director Financial Aid Office, Shahid Ahmed Shigri, highlighted the objectives of the HEC Need-Based Scholarship Programme.
